Saturn's Rings by HubbleSite, via NASA, Flickr
Saturn has been observed in the night sky since ancient times. First observed with a telescope by Galileo, he initially mistook Saturn's rings for moons. There are two popular hypotheses regarding the origin of the rings. One is that the rings are remnants of a destroyed moon of Saturn. The other hypothesis is that the rings are left over from the original nebular material from which Saturn formed. We think the first theory sounds more fun. Decide for yourself in this Deco inspired ring....

Saturn, second largest planet of the solar system in mass and size and the sixth in distance from the Sun. In the night sky Saturn is easily visible to the unaided eye as a non-twinkling point of light. When viewed through even a small telescope, the planet, encircled by its magnificent rings, is arguably the most sublime object in the solar system. Saturn is designated by the symbol ♄. -- Encyclopedia Britannica

I've been waiting 7 years to get this shot and it actually worked out! :) All shots used were taken within 2 minutes through my 950mm explore scientific 127 ED telescope and sizes are not exaggerated to be bigger from how the
